Pregnancies less than 28 weeks

If the pregnancy is less than 28 weeks, the expectant mother is allowed to fly, but will be required to sign a Limited Liability Statement at the time of check-in to absolve AirAsia of any liabilities, should anything unforeseen happen. Exempted from the requirements are flights to or from the United States.

Pregnancies between 28 and 34 weeks

If the pregnancy is between the 28th and 34th week, the expectant mother will likewise be required to sign AirAsia Limited Liability Statement at the time of check-in (except on flights to/from the United States).

In addition, the expectant mother must submit an approved doctor's medical certificate stating the number of weeks of pregnancy and her fitness-to-fly. The medical certificate shall be dated not more than thirty (30) days from either the scheduled outbound or the scheduled inbound flight departure date as the case may be.

Pregnancies 35 weeks and above

If the pregnancy is thirty-five (35) weeks and above, the expectant mother will not be permitted on board for the safety and well-being of the guest and others who are on board.
